Dr. Meredith Byrd

It is with sincere excitement and gratitude that I return to the Griffin-Spalding County School System as a proud Assistant Principal at Rehoboth Road Middle School. After 24 years of service as a classroom teacher, academic coach, and administrator, I am honored to bring my experience and passion for education to a school and community that means so much to me. I am a lifelong learner who deeply believes in the power of knowledge and the opportunities it creates for every student.

My educational background includes a Master’s Degree from the University of Georgia in Educational Administration & Policy, a Specialist Degree from Mercer University in Teacher Leadership with a minor in mathematics, and a Doctorate Degree from the American College of Education in Educational Leadership.

On a personal note, I am blessed with a wonderfully supportive family. My husband, Mike, proudly serves our community as the Fire Chief of the Spalding County Fire Department, and our oldest daughter is a former Mustang Cheerleader, making this return even more special.

I look forward to partnering with you as we continue to help our Mustangs lead, learn, serve, and grow.
