Today, State School Superintendent Richard Woods visited GSCS to recognize schools that demonstrated exceptional achievement or growth in reading and mathematics during the 2024-2025 school year. Beaverbrook Elementary, Crescent Elementary, Futral Road Elementary, Moreland Road Elementary and Rehoboth Road Middle were named Literacy Leader schools for excellence in reading. Crescent Elementary, Cowan Road Middle, Kennedy Road Middle and Rehoboth Road Middle were named Math Leader schools for excellence in mathematics. Congratulations to these schools for this excellent achievement and commitment to student success!

We are excited to announce our upcoming Honors Day ceremonies on Thursday, May 21st. Please see the schedule below:
Doors will open 15 minutes prior to each ceremony start time.
Please note:
All 8th grade students will be recognized.
6th and 7th grade ceremonies are invitation only, and not all students will be recognized. Students will receive invitations by May 15th.
Additionally, the cutoff date for students to qualify for All A or All A & B Honor Roll is May 8th. This includes grades from all academic and connections classes.
We look forward to celebrating our students' hard work and achievements with you!
